Striving at Home

Writing Down the Memories

One day shy of 34 weeks.  I sit here on a Monday morning, thinking “man it’s been a long time since I’ve blogged.”  So, in between some workout reps this morning, I’m sitting down, pondering and praying over the rest of my pregnancy.  I’m praying over my Young Living business and the people in it with me, and I’m praying over this little child that’s developing inside of me.

Some mother’s are fantastic at writing in journals.  I used to be really good at it when it came to devotionals and things I pondered spiritually.   However, I am not exactly that great when it comes to day-to-day stuff.  My mom was one who had a journal.  She looked back in it a couple times.  I do that too, and it’s very amazing to see how far God has brought you.

I’d like to be able to have some account to look back on where I am now.  What I’m thinking, how I’m praying, what God is teaching me through the areas of life I’m in now.  I can’t promise myself I’ll remember it on my own.  I don’t trust myself that much.

So, I’m going to try to do a better job with writing down life.  Sometimes I’m at a loss of what to blog about.  This is my personal blog that engulfs a wide range of topics.  Being a stay-at-home working mom with an MLM business can give plenty of room for topics.  But sometimes you just get life ahead of you.  Sometimes you are so infatuated with spending time with your family that writing about it doesn’t cross your mind near as much.  I feel like there’s memories and lessons that will be forgotten.  Writing them down can at least keep them alive and fresh in my mind every time I go back and read through it.

I love to share life with you all, and I love to be able to give something that may inspire you in your personal journey.  For this Monday, I want to say that it’s okay to mess up and forget.  As long as you don’t forget what’s really important in your life.  If I were going to let blogging slip by and spend time with my family, I don’t think anyone would judge me for it.   I shouldn’t judge myself for it anyway.

Embrace what really matters today, and give yourself a little grace once in a while.  Hope you all have a blessed Monday!

Keep striving and thriving!

Put your time where it matters most
